Polaroid was founded in 1937 by one of the most seminal innovators of the 20th century, Edwin Land. His motto was, “don't undertake a project unless it is manifestly important and nearly impossible.” In 2008, Polaroid closed its last factory, but a group of diehard fans came together as The Impossible Project to save instant film. Over 10 years later that startup acquired what was left of Polaroid and today we’re again a small group of people passionate about changing the world through great products.

 

Objectives of the role:

  • Product demand & revenue planning for all products across our U.S. customer base to improve forecast accuracy.

  • Cross functional collaboration within the U.S. and Amsterdam teams.

  • Collaborative planning and forecast review with key retail partners.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Demand planning for unit- & revenue forecast (short- & long term) across our portfolio and calendar in our Anaplan planning tool.

  • Promotional planning to align with Sales team’s forecast and product needs.

  • Analyse sell through for all key customers as part of the planning & reporting process.

  • Track inbound products to align with monthly / quarterly needs and revenue recognition.

  • Regular customer planning meetings to align on demand, promotional schedules and inventory needs.

  • Annual budget planning & ongoing monthly and quarterly updates.

  • U.S. region rollup to global team for long term needs.

  • Sku transition planning with cost analysis.

 

Qualifications:

  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, must have the ability to organize and manipulate data using formulas, pivot tables etc.

  • 3-5 years experience in wholesale on retail products with key U.S. retailers. 

  • Familiarity with vendor portals such as Target, Best Buy, Walmart and Amazon.

  • Experience with demand planning tool, like Anaplan, is a plus.

  • Excellent communication skills, written and spoken.

  • Problem solver with project management skills.

  • Ability to be pro-active with a sense of urgency.

  • Display a positive and pro-active attitude.

 

The Demand planner will report into the General Manager U.S., with a dotted line to the Director Supply Chain.
