Job description
About us: iconic brand, tiny company.
Polaroid was founded in 1937 by one of the most seminal innovators of the 20th century, Edwin Land. His motto was, “don't undertake a project unless it is manifestly important and nearly impossible.” In 2008, Polaroid shuttered its last factory but a group of diehard fans came together as The Impossible Project to save instant film. Over 10 years later that startup acquired what was left of Polaroid and today we’re again a small group of people passionate about empowering creators to change the world in the name of Polaroid.
Job Summary:
Polaroid is seeking an experienced and passionate Product Manager to join our small cross-functional team that shapes what products we develop, how we develop them, and how we talk about them. This role requires a strategic thinker to define our product go-to-market strategy, manage the product portfolio in a way that drives growth, delivers delight to customers, and creates habitual usage.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify, launch, and manage product life cycle of new products aligned with market trends and business strategy.
Own the go-to-market strategy and execution for key product launches - from positioning and pricing to sales enablement and post-launch performance.
Guide the evolution of our products, including the introduction of new generations, features, pricing adjustments, bundle offerings, and strategic end-of-life decisions.
Represent the voice of the customer throughout the product development process, ensuring that decisions are informed by user needs, market research, and competitive insights.
Collaborate with internal and external engineering and design teams to define product requirements and guide development efforts on new products.
Build a long-term strategy for our product segmentation in the market, collaborating closely with our regional teams across the globe.
Develop detailed business cases for product investments, including financial projections, required resources, and ROI analysis.
Present and secure buy-in from key stakeholders, including leadership, engineering, marketing, and sales, by clearly articulating the product’s commercial value and feasibility.
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in product management, or related roles, preferably in consumer electronics.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering or a related field.
Ability to work cross-functionally and lead teams globally without direct authority.
Passion for photography, creativity, and the Polaroid brand is a plus.
Strong analytical skills with experience in market research, pricing strategies, and competitive analysis.
Proven track record of building effective go-to-market plans and executing successful product launches.
Strong grasp of how to manage a product P&L and how to balance innovation, investments, and costs.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
