Polaroid was founded in 1937 by one of the most seminal innovators of the 20th century, Edwin Land. His motto was, “don't undertake a project unless it is manifestly important and nearly impossible.” In 2008, Polaroid shuttered its last factory, but a group of diehard fans came together as The Impossible Project to save instant film. Over 10 years later that startup acquired what was left of Polaroid and today we’re again a small group of people passionate about changing the world through great products.

Polaroid is looking for a Sales Manager who will be covering the French, Swiss and Belguim markets. We are looking for a candidate with at least 3 to 5 years of sales experience in consumer goods industry, ideally consumer electronics, knowledge of CE/Food channels/Ecommerce.


The Sales Manager must have strong sales temperament, good record of achieving growth and hitting sales targets.

The mission of the job is to develop turnover, maximize profitability and brand visibility within French, Swiss and Belguim markets.


Responsibilities


Design and implement a strategic sales plan that expand brand presence within strategic accounts
Focus on growing and developing existing clients, together with generating new business

Develop turnover and sales profitability of dedicated accounts (existing and new)
Negotiate assortment, animations, visibility of products
Follow up in-store execution: merchandising, POS tools, maximize brand visibility

Field surveys will be required, as will training for regional sales teams

Lead internal organization with all services to ensure customers satisfaction and in-store execution success
Measure, track and analyze key account metrics
Keep up to date with industry and market trends and best practices

Traveling to clients' sites (up to 2 days a week in France), once every 2 months to Switzerland and Belgium.




The ideal candidate


Previous experience in Account Management or Territory Sales in France (nice to have if you have also worked the Swiss and Belgium markets)

3 to 5 years of experience in consumer goods industry (ideally consumer electronics)

Strong account management and relationship building skills Experience of managing major national accounts at head office level.

Business acumen and industry expertise along with being highly self-motivated

Comfortable being independent and self-managed

Must be fluent completely in French and have high business level English

Must be based in or close to Paris due to clients office locations
