Senior Art Producer

Job description

About us: iconic brand, tiny company.

Polaroid was founded in 1937 by one of the most seminal innovators of the 20th century, Edwin Land. His motto was, “don't undertake a project unless it is manifestly important and nearly impossible.” In 2008, Polaroid shuttered its last factory, but a group of diehard fans came together as The Impossible Project to save instant films. Over 10 years later that startup acquired what was left of Polaroid and today we’re again a small group of people passionate about changing the world through great products.

Job Summary

Polaroid is looking for an experienced Senior Art Producer. In this key role, you’ll be responsible for sourcing, commissioning, and curating photographic talent for global creative assignments, while managing all production aspects from concept to final asset delivery. You’ll work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure our imagery consistently reflects the iconic Polaroid brand, across all platforms and markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee global photography commissions and image sourcing across multi-channel platforms.

  • Manage the full art production process—from creative development through to shoot and final asset delivery.

  • Collaborate with creative teams from concept to final artwork, ensuring creative and brand consistency.

  • Lead successful collaborations with creators, photographers, talent, and agents worldwide.

  • Translate Polaroid’s needs into industry-standard rights and usage agreements. Identify and mitigate legal risks, particularly around copyright.

  • Partner with internal teams such as Brand & Creative, Digital Marketing, Finance, Legal, and Product.

  • Negotiate usage rights, rates, timelines, and terms. Generate internal estimates and purchase orders, and manage budgets effectively.

  • Handle contracts and production planning for photo shoots and creative projects.

  • Manage product seeding to creators.

  • Ensure timely upload and proper tagging of final photography assets in the Polaroid DAM system.

  • Support the team with instant photography needs when required.

  • Build and nurture long-term relationships with Polaroid creators.

  • Stay ahead of creative trends and identify emerging photographers and artists to elevate the brand’s visual storytelling.

  • Foster strong relationships across internal and external stakeholders, with the ability to motivate peers and manage upwards when needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferred.

  • Minimum of 6+ years experience in a similar art production or art buying role, preferably in a global brand or production house.

  • Proven track record in managing complex production workflows, from briefing through to delivery.

  • Strong knowledge of image licensing, legal contracts, and copyright considerations.

  • Exceptional negotiation and communication skills.

  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and project management capabilities.

  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

  • Skilled at building strong relationships and creating collaborative environments.

  • Deep understanding of photography, visual storytelling, and brand identity.

  • Enthusiastic, solution-oriented mindset with a passion for creativity and craft.
