Senior Digital Product Manager

  • Hybrid
    • Amsterdam, Noord-Holland, Netherlands

Job description

About us: iconic brand, tiny company.

Polaroid was founded in 1937 by one of the most seminal innovators of the 20th century, Edwin Land. His motto was, “don't undertake a project unless it is manifestly important and nearly impossible.” In 2008, Polaroid shuttered its last factory, but a group of diehard fans came together as The Impossible Project to save instant films. Over 10 years later that startup acquired what was left of Polaroid and today we’re again a small group of people passionate about changing the world through great products.

Job Summary

We’re looking for a Senior Digital Product Manager to help lead how Polaroid brings its analog magic into the digital world. You’ll be responsible for our app ecosystem, used by over a million people globally, and for shaping how it grows, connects to our cameras, printers, and future connected products, and strengthens the Polaroid brand. It’s a uniquely creative challenge, building digital product experiences that feel human, tangible, and true to an analog brand. You’ll bring focus and structure to how we build, evolve, and grow, turning ideas into products that feel effortless to use and impossible not to love. Working alongside engineering, design, marketing, DTC, and hardware partners, you’ll help Polaroid reach more people, in more moments, more often.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the vision and roadmap for the Polaroid apps and connected digital experiences.

  • You’ll work on both connected experiences (cameras, printers) as well as stand-alone digital initiatives.

  • Drive discovery and delivery, translating strategy into clear plans, priorities, and measurable outcomes.

  • Collaborate across digital product disciplines (software engineering, UX design, and firmware) to deliver experiences that make our apps more delightful and used by more people.

  • Work with D2C and Marketing to build a unified One Polaroid Ecosystem where every platform has a clear role and users experience one coherent brand voice.

  • Partner with Hardware Product teams to create seamless experiences between cameras, printers, and digital touchpoints.

  • Collaborate with regional and commercial teams to ensure our products stay relevant and competitive across global markets, from the U.S. to Europe to Asia.

  • Translate insights and analytics into product decisions that increase engagement, retention, and satisfaction.

  • Experiment and validate with data, using research and testing to guide the roadmap and quantify impact.

About you:

  • Entrepreneurial energy: You thrive in a small, fast-moving company where you can shape things from the ground up.

  • Digital product obsession: You notice the details, benchmark instinctively, and know where mobile and connected ecosystems are heading.

  • Technical translator: You understand how apps, APIs, and connected devices work and can make the complex simple. You have an eye towards privacy and security, and how to handle users data in the right and respectful way.

  • Data-informed instinct: You blend analytics and empathy to make smart, human-centered decisions.

  • Commercial thinker: You balance user value, business impact, and technical investment.

  • Operational clarity: You turn ambiguity into focus and progress.

  • Appreciation for quality: You care deeply about flow, polish, and the sense of joy that defines Polaroid.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in digital product management, ideally across apps, connected devices, or creative tech.

  • Strong technical foundation and experience collaborating with engineering and design teams.

  • Proven success driving engagement and growth through experimentation and iteration.

  • Ability to translate complex technology into simple, compelling product narratives.

  • Analytical depth with the ability to use data to measure progress and guide decisions.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with influence across disciplines and levels.
