Job description

About us: Iconic brand, tiny company.

Polaroid was founded in 1937 by one of the most seminal innovators of the 20th century, Edwin Land. His motto was, “don't undertake a project unless it is manifestly important and nearly impossible.” In 2008, Polaroid shuttered its last factory, but a group of diehard fans came together as The Impossible Project to save instant film. Over 10 years later that startup acquired what was left of Polaroid and today we’re again a small group of people passionate about empowering creators to change the world in the name of Polaroid.

Job Summary
We’re looking for a proactive, analytical and detail-oriented HR Coordinator to join our team! In this role, you’ll help ensure smooth HR operations by supporting payroll updates, onboarding, maintaining our HR systems, and contributing to people-focused initiatives and projects.

This is a great opportunity to launch your HR career in a dynamic and collaborative environment, working alongside a supportive and experienced HR team.

Key responsibilities:

HR Operations

  • Coordinate and process payroll changes (e.g. new hires, updates, benefit enrolments) in collaboration with our external payroll partner and internal stakeholders.

  • Draft and review employment contracts and other HR documents, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.

  • Support processes such as visa applications, relocation, and UWV documentation.

HR Process Support

  • Support onboarding, including orientations and documentation.

  • Answer employee questions on HR policies and benefits.

  • Assist recruitment efforts (e.g. interview scheduling, candidate communication).

HR Systems & Data

  • Maintain accurate employee records in the HRIS and safeguard data confidentiality.

  • Generate reports and analyze HR data to support decision-making.

  • Help implement or improve HRIS modules and support team adoption.

Projects & Development

  • Once confident in the basics, you’ll gradually take part in small HR projects, such as initiatives in compensation & benefits, learning & development, or internal communications — guided by senior team members.

Qualifications:

  • Strong communication skills in English (Dutch is a plus due to government contact).

  • A degree in Business, Psychology, Communications or a related field.

  • Ability to synthesize information and spot opportunities to support HR processes.

  • Organizational strength and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Tech-savviness: confident in MS Office and ideally familiar with HRIS platforms.

  • Detail-oriented, with strong data and documentation skills.

  • Professionalism and discretion when handling sensitive information.

  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset.
