Senior Project Manager

  • Hybrid
    • Amsterdam, Noord-Holland, Netherlands
  • Marketing

Job description

About us: iconic brand, tiny company.

Polaroid was founded in 1937 by one of the most seminal innovators of the 20th century, Edwin Land. His motto was, “don't undertake a project unless it is manifestly important and nearly impossible.” In 2008, Polaroid shuttered its last factory, but a group of diehard fans came together as The Impossible Project to save instant films. Over 10 years later that startup acquired what was left of Polaroid and today we’re again a small group of people passionate about changing the world through great products.

Job Summary
We are looking for a Senior Project Manager to lead key creative and strategic projects at Polaroid. From the first brief to final delivery, you’ll ensure projects run smoothly on time, and to the highest quality. Acting as the link between our Creative Studio, Marketing, Product, Operations, and external partners, you’ll bring structure, clarity, and momentum. With strong organizational and problem-solving skills, you’ll keep stakeholders aligned, resources optimized, and challenges resolved before they escalate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Leadership: Lead the full lifecycle of creative and marketing projects — from briefing to final delivery — making sure they are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards. This includes setting clear timelines, tracking milestones, and managing expectations across teams.

  • Creative Production: Oversee end-to-end productions, from pre-production planning and coordination, through shooting days, to post-production and final asset delivery. Take ownership on-set to ensure smooth execution and quick problem-solving when challenges arise.

  • Resource & Stakeholder Management: Allocate resources effectively across multiple projects and ensure teams remain focused and supported. Act as the key connection point between Creative, Marketing, Product, Operations, and external partners, aligning priorities and incorporating feedback.

  • External Partnerships: Build and maintain productive relationships with agencies, vendors, and freelancers. Oversee contracts, onboarding, and invoice processes to ensure smooth collaboration and timely delivery of assets.

  • Process & Tools: Develop and implement best practices to streamline ways of working, covering project management, asset management, and resource planning. Ensure the effective use of project management tools (e.g., Trello, DAM, Float or similar) to keep workflows clear and efficient.

  • Budget & Forecasting: Manage and forecast creative production budgets, track ongoing costs, and ensure proper approvals for production-related expenses. Provide visibility into budget planning and resource allocation across the year.

  • Insights & Reporting: Regularly update leadership with progress reports, recommendations, and operational insights to improve efficiency, output quality, and cross-team collaboration.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of project management experience, ideally within creative production (agency or brand environment).

  • Proven track record managing creative productions, marketing campaigns, or cross-functional projects.

  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail.

  • Strong communicator who can bring clarity and alignment across diverse teams.

  • Proactive problem-solver who anticipates challenges before they escalate.

  • Comfortable working in a hybrid, international, and fast-paced environment.

  • Experience with project management tools (Trello, Asana, Jira, DAM, or similar).
