Trade Marketing Specialist

  • Hybrid
    • Amsterdam, Noord-Holland, Netherlands

Job description

About us: iconic brand, tiny company.

Polaroid was founded in 1937 by one of the most seminal innovators of the 20th century, Edwin Land. His motto was, “don't undertake a project unless it is manifestly important and nearly impossible.” In 2008, Polaroid shuttered its last factory, but a group of diehard fans came together as The Impossible Project to save instant films. Over 10 years later that startup acquired what was left of Polaroid and today we’re again a small group of people passionate about changing the world through great products.

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly organized and insights-driven Retail Trade Marketing Specialist to join our Global Trade Marketing Team in the fast-paced world of consumer electronics. This role plays a critical part in shaping how our innovative products are experienced at retail—from the shop floor to the digital shelf. You’ll work across global and regional teams to activate best-in-class retail strategies, create impactful in-store experiences, and help drive conversion at key global retailers, both online and offline.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the development of global retail strategies for new product launches and evergreen lines across priority markets.

  • Build and distribute scalable trade marketing toolkits including visual guides, in-store communication materials, and retail training assets.

  • Support planning and deployment of global retail campaigns and seasonal promotions in key markets and accounts (e.g., Amazon, Best Buy, Fnac, MediaMarkt, Currys, etc).

  • Ensure brand consistency and product visibility across physical and digital retail touch points.

  • Partner with global and regional sales, brand, marketing and product teams to ensure trade initiatives support business goals.

  • Serve as the liaison between global and local marketing teams to drive efficient implementation and sharing of best practices.

  • Track and evaluate the effectiveness of retail programs and activations through KPIs such as sell-out, ROI, and market feedback.

  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations to optimize future trade initiatives.

  • Manage budgets and timelines for assigned trade marketing projects.

  • Coordinate with external agencies and vendors for production and execution of in-store materials.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.

  • Strong interest in marketing, branding, and consumer electronics.

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.

  • Naturally curious and proactive/driven to ask insightful questions, explore new ideas, and take initiative to solve problems and improve outcomes.

  • Comfortable working in a global, fast-paced environment.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); familiarity with design, data, project management and Digital asset management tools (e.g., Adobe, PowerBI, retail analytics platforms, Trello, Bynder, etc) is a plus.

  • Prior experience in trade, shopper, or retail marketing is nice to have, but not required. We’re happy to train the right candidate with the right attitude and curiosity to learn.

  • Fluent in English; other languages are a bonus.
